Walter is currently a Director at Caixa Capital, the venture capital and private equity arm of Caixa Geral de Depósitos, Portugal’s largest financial group. Walter has over twenty years of professional experience, both in Portugal and internationally. Walter began his career with KMPG Canada, having transferred to the Portuguese office in 1991, where he specialized in the financial services sector and Corporate Finance. He later moved to Banco Finantia, where he exercised roles as Head of Research and as a Director in the Corporate Finance department. In 2001, Walter moved to the CGD Group to help found a corporate venturing operation specialised in investing in and developing internet and technology start-ups. Walter has an MBA in International Management from Universidade Católica Portuguesa.

Pedro Rocha Vieira

Pedro Rocha Vieira, has a business degree at Catholic University in Lisbon, and after some years in the banking industry, he left to a 9 month South America road-trip, back in Portugal he worked at Chapitô circus school and then co-founded the "Social Innovation Programme" at TESE, that he co-directed for 3 years. Presently, and after a post-graduation in "Innovation, Strategy and Foresight" at ISEG, he worked as the head of the design response unit, at experimentadesign, he is also a freelance innovation consultant, and co-founder and President of the Beta-i association.

As a student, she studied how routers and antenas work and conducted research in the field. She created her first business at the age of 21 and refused corporate jobs to become an entrepreneur. She has worked as a consultant and owned several companies. Despite some failures, she maintained her optimism and was persistent. She co-founded Talkdesk which allows any company to create a call center in less than 5 minutes without long term contracts or infrastructure costs.
